Best Illustrated book I have found

LOVE this book! I recommend it for everyone who wants to recreate these looks.
I have the 1940's & 1950's Westmore books, but this is by far the most comprehensive and best illustrated book on recreating the hairstyles of the 40's. It even has the hair cut guides you can bring in to your hair dresser to get the proper cut.

Great instructional book

I have had an eye on this book for some time. I was looking for a book that would tell me how to cut & style my hair to get a vintage 40s look, but I also wanted something that would break it down step by step so it was easy to understand. This book does just that! It goes over cuts for different hair lengths and how to style them. It explains how to make pin curls, waves, etc. It goes as far as to break down each section of hair and which way to roll them to achieve certain looks. Great book! So glad I waited until I saw it for sale by Goodwill for $49.58! The book was in used condition. However, it was in much better condition than I had expected. Very pleased with this purchase! Now if only the "Vintage Face" book by Daniela Turudich would be listed for sale for less than $200!
