This series is an excellent reference for the Maya interface, especially for beginners

The most useful Maya reference book I own. Provides a thorough explanation of the user interface and menu items in an easy-to-use format.
My only suggestion is to be sure the version of this book matches the year of the version of Maya you are using, since Maya's user interface and tools have had major changes, and the number and placement of menu items is very confusing to new users.
I also ordered the 2016 version of this book and it's been an excellent reference for my Maya 2016 version.
