I am only giving this product one start because there are missing pages. It is very disappointing to have a test and have not content to study. So you can imagine how I am going to do in my test. Pages 87 to 150 are missing.

How Education in America Became What It Is

Mr. Gutek has done a service to the realm of education with this book. His early history of education is good. When he arrives in time to the early American education, he tends to follow the thoughts of those who were the movers and shakers of new thought that has become popular today rather than education as it was. It does provide plenty of thought as to how we have gotten to this point, but, in my opinion, fails to show accurately where American education was in the era of our founding fathers.
